How Our Story Began…
“According to Karen”
I have always believed that my Prince Charming was out there. At the age of thirty five, I was beginning to wonder if the fairy tale ending was possible. However, since Scott walked into my life it really didn’t take long to see that he was everything I thought I wanted, everything I actually needed, and so much more than I ever could have imagined. He is perfect for me. We began dating in March of 2009 and just ten months later Scott proposed!! We have created so many wonderful memories together already and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!

The Proposal…
“According to Scott”
This is the story of our engagement…as I recall it. On Friday, January 23, 2010, I asked Karen if she wanted to go for a walk in Valley Forge Park the following morning. My plan was to propose Saturday morning along our favorite path through the park, which is past the old church atop the hill. The day of the 23rd began with a series of disappointments as my anxiety grew, however. Karen kept informing me that she did not want to go for a walk because it was too cold and she wanted to go house hunting instead. We had Flyers tickets so I figured that we could go to the game and then walk the park. It would be just at about sunset which would be perfect. To my dismay Karen was again not in the mood for a walk. I persisted however, and she finally agreed. After walking for a while, we reached the church we had visited many times before. I got down on one knee and of course Karen said YES!! We were lucky enough to find another couple who took plenty of pictures of us as a newly engaged couple so that this memory could be preserved forever. It was a perfect engagement, right at sunset, in our favorite spot. We have not stopped smiling since.

A special thanks to Joel at Benari who put up with me through my tiring search for the perfect ring! She absolutely loves it…and so do I.
