My fiance and I met at work. We both worked for Hills Qaulity Seafood and I was transfered to the Exton location where he normally worked. We instantly hit it off as friends. Little did we know how this friendship would turn into a relationship within the first month of knowing each other, then four years later into an engagment.

My fiance’s, James, proposal was something out of a fairy tale. He convinced me we were going out for my birthday dinner. When I arrived at his house there was a note with a rose in the door explaining a change of plans. He first had me follow rose petals that lead to the fridge for my first gift (dinner- sushi). The note explained that I am going on a scavenger hunt based on the clues he provided and a driver will be taking me to all the places.

Each place I went to had a note, gift and rose. He had me open the gift first, which were some type of Disney movie (beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Little Mermaid), and each note incorporated the gift as well as our relationship. James had me go to the first place we met, the first place we hung out, the first place we kissed, and ended with the first place he said, “I love you” to me. The last note read that I was his true love, strength and foundation and to go to the place where he first told me he loved me to find my prince charming.

He stood in front of West Chester University’s school dorm by an oak tree with 37 red roses - one for every month we were together. He then handed me my last gift, Peter Pan, and asked me three questions:

1. Will I stay forever young (Peter Pan)?
2. Will I always be his princess?
3. Will I marry him as he got down on one knee.
