The night we got engaged I thought I was taking Chris on a “mystery date”. Only I knew the details and I had coordinated with the couple we had our 1st date with to “re-enact” our 1st date - same restaurant, same everything.

When I picked Chris up, I blindfolded him so that I could keep the secret of the location for as long as possible. Little did I know that Chris had been plotting behind my back with our friends and knew about the date the whole time because he was already planning to propose at the same place just a few weeks later on our 1 year anniversary.

When we got to the restaurant he acted surprised and played right along so that I thought I had really surprised him bringing him back to the place of our 1st date. The surprise was on me when he went to the restroom after dinner and returned to the table, got down on one knee and proposed! The surprises continued as Chris took me to a local bar after some of the shock wore off and he had gathered all of our friends and family so they could join in the celebration!
