Lori B. and Jon B.

Engagement Date: Feb. 17, 2009
Wedding Date: June 26, 2010

Being an elementary school teacher, my days are pretty full. On this particular day I had an appointment in NJ, so I knew that I was not going to be home until around 9 or so. I spoke with Jon thorughout the day, and around 4:00 he tells me that he is meeting my brother-in-law at a bar to go over things for “work”. I was frustrated because he should have been at home taking care of our dog, who has now been in his cage all day!!! Little did I know… the love of my life was picking up the ring that was mailed to my brother-in-laws house… what a guy.

It is now 9:15 and I am finally home. I open the door to walk in and see rose petals leading up the stairs. All I thought about was the fact that now I had to clean ALL of this up!! As I made my way up the steps I am calling for Jon and hear nothing. When I get to the top of the stairs I am looking at candles and roses all over the coffee table and in front of the fire place is Jon on one knee with our dog, Dewey sitting next to him. Around Dewey’s neck was a big red bow and a ring box attached… with these words to follow, “Will you marry us… I mean me.”
Of course I said YES!!!

    Lori,
    All I can say is that young man must have been raised perfectly! He is so sensitive and romantic, let alone about the most intelligent and handsome guy I have seen in years! You are a very lucky girl.

    You too are a very lucky man to find such a lovely beautiful girl. Teachers make the best wives, mothers and future principals. I know that with hard work and commitment the two of you will be very happy and might even make it together 35 years like your Dad and me.
