Wedding Date: June 13, 2009 & June 27, 2009

Matt and I met at West Chester University our sophomore year while we were both living in the same dorm. At the time, I was dating someone else but we kept in touch. After we graduated in 2002, Matt decided to move to Cocoa, Florida to teach elementary school and live closer to his mother. In May of 2004 he came back to the West Chester area for the summer to try to find a teaching job and move closer to his friends. I had become recently single and Matt asked for my number his first night back. We had our first date at Coyote Crossing in West Chester and a week later he asked me to be his girlfriend The summer went by quickly and Matt returned to Florida in August. We both decided to continue the relationship although we would be 1,000 miles apart. With love in our hearts we managed to make it through those lonely couple of months. Matt officially moved back to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2005 and we have been a couple ever since.

When Matt decided to propose he picked the date of our 4 year anniversary June 13, 2008. After a romantic dinner we walked along West Chester University’s campus hand in hand reminiscing about our college days. Our final destination took us to Phillip’s Hall where he stopped and asked if I knew about the “Whispering Arches”, the famous campus arches where you can whisper through on the one side and hear perfectly clear on the other. He then preceded to whisper through the “Whispering Arches” a poem he had written just for me. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with a little yellow box in hand, with the most beautiful diamond ring inside. Of course I said, “yes” and the rest is history.

We will be legally married on June 13th, 2009 (our 5 year anniversary) and the ceremony will be held June 27th, 2009 in the Riverfront Park in Cocoa, Florida where Matt first told me he loved me.
